If someone tells you to "Just order the color", we can use up the old reducer, clear and activators, on your job.  I would be concerned about poor results from your bike's repair.

(Sanding damages the color, that is why you need clear-coat to go over it) Apply the color until it gives good hiding, let dry, then apply clear to over fill the chip or scratch, when dry sand the clear-coat down, (#600 or finer wet/dry paper), then polish to match the surface. (* Light coats dry faster than heavy coats)

  * Color match: Different painters, with different spray equipment, under different spraying conditions can get different shades of color from the same can of paint.   

Motorcycles just like cars, can be, and are painted off standard, and all paint fades, when exposed to sunlight and changes color, therefore color match is never guaranteed!      

* Best results are obtained when you send us a part of your motorcycle for paint to be matched to the existing color shade of your bike.

Touch up paint brushed on will look different than touch up paint sprayed on.
(Brushed on touch up paint is meant to slow down further damage and partially hide the chip until professional refinishing can be made.)
